R.D. Shah & Co is situated in Chandkheda, which is on the northern side of Ahmedabad. We are at 463/2817 in Sudarshan Nagar, which is part of the Gujarat Housing Board area. It’s a very established neighborhood where everyone seems to know their neighbors. Our office is tucked away in a building that looks like many of the others on the street. It’s a ground-floor space, which makes it easy to move things in and out. We have been here for a long time, and the interior reflects that. There are stacks of ledgers and old wooden cupboards filled with files from years ago. The lighting is a bit dim in the back, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. The atmosphere is generally quite calm, though it gets a bit hectic when we have a lot of deadlines hitting at once. On rainy days, the water tends to pool a bit near the entrance, so we have to be careful with our boots. Most of our day is spent handling the accounts and the logistics of the company. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to polish our image. It’s just us, working through the daily tasks and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. It’s a humble, hardworking environment that has stayed the same for years.
