Ratnamani Metals & Tubes Ltd., Ahmedabad

We have another spot here in Ahmedabad, over at the Shantmani Apartments. It is unit C-1, right across from the Parivar Society on Judges Banglow Road. This is a busy street, so there is always a lot of traffic and people moving around outside. Inside the office, we focus on the metals and tubes side of the business. It’s mainly a place for handling the commercial side of things. We have a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets for all the contracts we have to keep track of. It isn't a showroom. It’s just a place where we get the day’s work done. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of people in for a meeting, but we make do with the chairs we have. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or big signs. The neighbors are mostly families and other small offices, so it’s a friendly enough atmosphere. Most of us have been working with these metal products for a long time, so we know the details inside out. We spend our time checking figures and making sure the tube orders are going to the right places. There’s always a stack of newspapers in the corner and someone is usually complaining about the heat in the afternoon. It’s just a regular local office where we try to stay on top of the business. It’s not flashy, but it works for us and we have been here for years.
