Our place is at Shop 83 in the New Cloth Market, right outside Raipur Gate. If you know Ahmedabad, you know Raipur Gate is a landmark that everyone uses. The market itself is always humming with people, and there is a constant smell of tea and textiles in the air. We have been here for a long time, and the shop is filled with different types of fabrics. It is not a huge space, but we make the most of it by stacking the rolls high. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we manage. We spend most of our time dealing with wholesalers and people looking for specific materials. It’s a very old-school way of doing business where you talk face-to-face and handle the cloth to see how it feels. The market stays open quite late, and there is always something happening in the corridors. We don't really have a fancy showroom. It's just a practical shop where the business of buying and selling fabric gets done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, or the rain makes things messy outside the gate, but we just keep going. It’s a lively spot to work in, and being part of the New Cloth Market means we are right in the thick of the textile trade. We just keep things honest and work with the people we've known for years.
