RADIX ALUCAST

Our workshop is Shed No-71, right in the Main Market area of Odhav. It is not far from the SP Ring Road Circle, which makes it easy for trucks to get in and out, though the dust from the road is something we have to deal with every day. At RADIX ALUCAST, we focus on the casting work. It is hot and messy work, but someone has to do it. The shed is large and has that smell of metal and machinery that you get in places like this. We don’t have an air-conditioned office; we just have a small corner with a table and a few chairs where we handle the billing. Most of the guys here have been working with metal for a long time. We have our own way of doing things that might look a bit disorganized to an outsider, but we know where everything is. The noise from the machines is constant from eight in the morning until we shut down in the evening. We usually eat lunch together sitting on some stools near the entrance. It is a hard job and the hours can be long during the summer months when the heat is really intense. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our day is spent on the floor, making sure the molds are right and the pours go smoothly. It's tough work but we've been doing it for years.
