Radhe Hardware/ Prakash Furniture Centre

We operate out of 3 J P Complex, right across from C N Vidhyalay in Ambavadi. It’s a good spot because the school is right there, so there are always parents and students around during the day. We have two sides to what we do, handling hardware and furniture stuff. The shop is packed with boxes of hinges, handles, and tools, along with some furniture pieces we’ve got ready. It can be a bit of a squeeze to walk through the aisles when we get a new shipment in. We’ve been here for a while and most people in Ambavadi know us as the place to go when they need a specific screw or a new stool. The walls are lined with shelves all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes we have to use the ladder a lot during the day to find things. It’s a busy little shop. We don’t really do any big advertising; people just see the sign when they are passing by the school. The floor is concrete and has some scuffs from moving heavy metal and wood around. It’s not the quietest place, especially when the school bell rings and the traffic picks up. We just stay busy with the orders and helping whoever walks in. It’s a simple life running a shop like this, keeping track of all the little parts and making sure the furniture looks right. We keep the doors open for fresh air during the summer months.
