People usually find us because they know the AMTS depot in Sabarmati. We’re right behind it in Jawahar Chock, at Ambalal Park Society. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the buses are moving out. Our office isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular government setup with lots of files and people coming in to ask about road repairs or new building permissions. We spend most of our day sitting under the ceiling fans, going through papers and maps of the local area. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a while. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we know the neighborhood like the back of our hands. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just some chairs for people to wait in while we check their documents. There’s a tea stall just down the road that everyone goes to during the break. It’s just us doing the daily work for the department, making sure things are moving along even when the paperwork piles up. You’ll see us out on the sites too, checking on how the tarmac is holding up or looking at the drainage. It’s a lot of practical stuff, nothing very glamorous, just the usual government routine in this part of Ahmedabad. We keep the doors open and try to get through the stack of files before the day ends.
