Our place is at 24/73, Subramani Mudali Street in Saidapet. If you know Chennai, you know Saidapet is a very packed area with lots of narrow lanes and small shops everywhere. We have a small storefront and a back room where we keep our stock. It is not a big warehouse, just a traditional building that we have modified a bit to fit our needs. We have been here for a good while, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. At Priyanga Enterprises, we handle various goods and local distribution. The day usually starts early with unloading some boxes and checking what needs to go out to customers. It can get very hot and humid inside during the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. Most of our business comes from people walking in or calling us because they have known us for years. The floor is made of old stone and the shelves are wooden and a bit dusty, but we know where everything is. It is just a regular local business run by people who live nearby and want to do an honest day of work. We keep the accounts in big paper books and handle things face-to-face. It is a simple way to live and work in the neighborhood.
