Up here in Siliguri, we operate out of Bagha Jatin Colony in Pradhan Nagar. The address is 2/4, and we’ve been a fixture in this part of West Bengal for quite some time. Being a family company, things are run a bit differently than those big corporations in Kolkata. It’s mainly about the day-to-day work and keeping the legacy going that started with my father. The weather can be unpredictable, especially with the rains we get, which sometimes slows things down. We are quite close to the hills, so we get a bit of that mountain breeze when the air is clear. Our office has stacks of old ledgers and some newer computers, a mix of the old and the new ways. People in the colony know us by name, and we usually know them too. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny signs. Most folks just walk in because they saw the name on the gate or heard about us from a neighbor. Dealing with local logistics and trade in this region takes a lot of patience. We have seen the town change a lot over the decades. The roads are busier now, and there are more buildings popping up everywhere. We just stay focused on our own lane, making sure the business stays steady. It’s a humble life, but it’s ours. We don't plan on moving anywhere else, as this place feels like home to us all.
