Tardeo is an interesting part of Mumbai. We are located in the Aircondition Market building, which is a bit of a landmark for people in the area. It’s old, but it has character. Our office is room 721. It feels a bit like a hive inside because there are so many different businesses in one place. The hallways are long and have that specific old-building smell. We spend most of our time at our desks. Outside, Tardeo Main Road is always buzzing with cars and buses. Getting a taxi can be a challenge during peak hours, so we usually walk a bit. Inside, we have our own little rhythm. We deal with textiles and technical stuff, so there are often samples lying around on the tables. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in. The air conditioning is usually running high because it gets stuffy in the afternoons. We eat lunch at our desks most days, though sometimes we go out for a quick bite if the weather is nice. It’s a straightforward environment. We’ve been in this market for a long time, so we know the security guards and the lift operators by name. It’s not a high-tech corporate office, but it’s where we do our business and it works for us. We just focus on the work at hand and getting the orders out.
