Prakash Spring Mfg. Works

Our workshop is over at 8/A, Bansidhar Estate. Prakash Spring Mfg. Works has been operating out of Bardolpura, just outside Dariapur Gate, for a long time. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machines or metal clanging in the background from the neighbors. We make springs of all sizes here. Some are small enough to fit in your hand, and others are heavy and hard to move without help. The floors are concrete and have some cracks from years of heavy work and moving equipment around. We have a few machines that have been with us since the start, and they still run fine if you know how to handle them properly. It’s a bit oily and dark inside sometimes, especially when the clouds come over, but we have enough lights to see what we are doing on the benches. We don’t spend much time on fancy office work or sitting around. Most of the day is spent handling the coils and making sure the tension is right for the order. The guys here have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. We just get on with it. Bardolpura is a busy place with a lot of small manufacturing units like ours. You can smell the grease and the metal in the air as soon as you arrive. When the whistle blows for lunch, we sit outside for a bit of fresh air. It’s just what we do every day.
