Positive Sign Foundation

We operate out of a small place at 8A/12 on 10th Street Cross in Anna Nagar, Peelamedu. It’s more of a home-turned-office than a proper business building. Positive Sign Foundation started because some of us saw things that needed doing in the neighborhood. We have a couple of old wooden tables and some chairs that don't quite match. There is always someone coming in or out, usually asking for help or dropping off some papers. It’s a bit chaotic at times, with the phone ringing and people talking over each other. We don't have a big budget, so we fix things ourselves when they break. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound on the high setting. We spend our time organizing local activities and trying to stay on top of the paperwork that comes with this kind of thing. Peelamedu is a lively area, and being on 10th Street Cross means we see a lot of the locals every day. We aren't a big fancy charity with glossy brochures. We are just a few people in a small room trying to be useful. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, while other days we don't even have time to sit down. We just take it as it comes.
