Poddar Exports (India)

We are located in unit S-4 over at Sardar Palace on P.K. Road. It’s an older building, and you can definitely tell by the way the doors creak. Running Poddar Exports (India) out of this space keeps us pretty busy. The office is often filled with the smell of old paper and the sound of the ceiling fans clicking away. We spend most of our mornings dealing with shipping agents and trying to figure out why a container is stuck somewhere. It’s not a very big office, so things tend to pile up quickly. We have samples of various goods tucked into every corner, and sometimes it's a bit of a maze just to get to the back desk. P.K. Road is always crowded, so getting to work in the morning can be a real test of patience. We’ve been at this for a long time, so we know the local couriers and the shopkeepers downstairs quite well. We don't have any high-tech security systems or plush carpets. It’s just a place where we sit down and get the exporting work done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour, and we just sit by the window and wait it out. It’s a simple operation, really. We just focus on the logistics and making sure the paperwork for India is all in order. We usually eat our lunch right at our desks while we talk about the latest shipping rates.
