The office is located near the Chakudia Mahadev Temple in Rakhial. PIERLITE INDIA PVT. LTD. operates out of this busy industrial patch where the sound of the city is always in the background. We handle a lot of lighting orders and spend a good chunk of the day checking inventory in the back. The area around the temple is always lively, and there’s a certain rhythm to the day here. Our space is mostly functional, with desks that have seen better days and a lot of papers scattered around. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to make things look pretty. It’s just us doing the daily work of organizing shipments and talking to suppliers. The air is often a bit heavy with the smell of the nearby factories, but you get used to it after a while. We have a small kettle for making tea, which is the most used piece of equipment in the place. Sometimes people stop by just to ask for directions because of the temple landmark. We help them out and then get back to our lists. It’s not the most glamorous part of town, but it’s where we get things done. We keep the lights on late sometimes when the orders pile up, but mostly we just follow the same routine we've had for years. It's a practical business in a practical neighborhood, and that suits us just fine. The metal desk drawers stick a bit when it’s humid, and the calendar on the wall is usually a month behind, but we manage.
