Surya Industries

Our place is located in Phase-4 of GIDC Vatva, specifically at Plot No. C1-B/ 3407/7. It’s a busy area with a lot of trucks moving in and out all the time. We fit right in there. Surya Industries is mostly just a place where we put in the hours to make sure our customers get what they need. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, more buildings going up and more traffic, but our shop stays pretty much the same. Inside, it’s mostly racks of materials and the sound of the fans. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you just walk back to where we are working. It gets pretty dusty, but that’s just part of the job in this part of town. We handle the daily tasks ourselves, from checking the inventory to packing up the boxes. It’s a lot of physical labor, and my back feels it some days, but it’s good to stay busy. We have a few guys who have been with us for a long time, so they know exactly how I like things done. We don't use any high-tech systems for tracking, just a big notebook where everything gets written down. It works for us and we haven't lost an order yet. It’s just a straightforward business run by regular people. We try to keep our prices fair because we know how hard it is for everyone else in the area too. Sometimes the rainy season makes things difficult, but we just keep on going. We’ve got a good rhythm down now after all these years of being in Vatva.
