We’ve been working out of Plot No. 5001/A for quite some time now. Dealing with industrial gases means a lot of safety checks and heavy cylinders moving around the yard all day long. It gets pretty noisy in Phase-4 GIDC, especially in Vatva where everyone is always in a rush to get things done. Skan Industrial Gases Pvt. Ltd. is basically just a group of local people making sure the gas supply stays steady for whoever needs it. Some days the delivery trucks are late or the weather makes the outdoor work tough, but we just get on with it without complaining much. It isn't a fancy office with nice carpets or air conditioning in every room. Mostly, it is just concrete and metal and paperwork that never seems to end. We know the neighbors around here well enough to borrow a tool now and then. When someone asks where we are located, we just tell them to look for the big gate near the corner. It is not about being the biggest name in the area, just about doing the work that needs doing today. Sometimes we all have tea together before the next shift starts. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, making the metal cylinders hot to the touch. We have seen a lot of changes in the GIDC over the years, but our little spot remains the same. It is practical work. No one here wears a suit.
