Down in Plot No. 3601 and 3602, things are always moving. This part of GIDC Vatva, Phase-4, is packed with units, and we occupy these two spots right next to each other. You can usually tell you’re getting close by the specific smells of the chemicals we work with every day. It’s not a glamorous job, wearing the heavy gear and keeping track of the vats, but it is steady. We’ve seen the area change over the years as more buildings went up around us. The trucks come in and out all day, and sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the loading area. Our staff has been here through the hot summers and the rainy seasons when the roads get muddy. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising because everyone knows where we are. The office is just a simple room with a couple of fans and a mountain of files. We try to keep things organized, but in a place this busy, there is always something that needs attention right now. It is a lot of hard work and making sure the mixtures are right. We don’t have time for fancy talks. We just make sure the drums are filled and the orders are ready for the transport guys when they show up. It is a long day's work for everyone at Nirma Chemical Works.
