Gayatri Printers

If you walk down toward Plot No. 3434/2 in Phase-4 of GIDC Vatva, you will find us at Gayatri Printers. It is usually pretty loud because of the printing presses running, and the whole place smells like ink and fresh paper. We have been in this spot for years and the walls are a bit stained from the machines, but that’s just how it goes in a printing shop. The work here is steady. We spend most of our time checking layouts and making sure the ink levels are right so nothing looks blurry. It is a lot of standing around on concrete floors, which can be tough on the feet after eight or nine hours. My team and I don’t really go in for fancy talk; we just focus on getting the stacks of paper printed and boxed up for whoever is waiting for them. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the estate and we all have to take a break and sit outside until the power comes back on. Those are the times we catch up with the guys from the other units nearby. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. People just know where we are and what we do. It’s just a small local operation where we do our best with the equipment we have. Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: finish the pile of work on the table. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but we just stay here at our plot and keep the machines moving.
