Working at Vibrant Color means you never really have clean fingernails. We are based over at Plot No. C1-55 in Phase-2 of the GIDC in Vatva. It’s an old industrial area, and you can tell by the way the roads are worn down. We deal with dyes and pigments, so there is color everywhere you look. Sometimes the floor is blue, sometimes it’s red, depending on what we are mixing that day. It’s a messy business, but someone has to do it. We’ve been at this plot for years. The neighbors at Plot No. C1-55 have changed over time, but we’re still here doing the same thing. It gets humid in Vatva, especially during the monsoon, and that can mess with the drying times of some of our products. We just have to adjust and keep going. We don’t have a big corporate structure. If something goes wrong, you just talk to the person standing next to you. We eat our lunch together in the small break area we built behind the mixing tanks. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s ours. We spend a lot of time checking batches and making sure the shades look right under the light. People come to us because we’ve been here so long and we know how the chemicals behave. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make a living at Plot No. C1-55 and do a decent job for the folks who buy from us.
