Being over at Plot No. I-146/A in GIDC Vatva means we deal with a lot of dust and stains every single day. If you walk into our place, you can tell right away what we do because there’s usually some hint of color on the floor or someone’s clothes. It’s a busy spot in Phase-2, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the trucks moving in and out of the narrow lanes. Sometimes the power goes out, or the water pressure is low, and we just have to sit and wait or find a workaround. That’s the reality of running a small setup like Shubham Colours. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. Our staff mostly lives nearby, and we’ve known their families for years. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bags and checking the batches under the lights. The office is small and usually filled with samples and old paperwork. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. People know where to find us if they need something. We just try to get the mixing right and get the shipments out before the transport guys leave for the day. It’s a messy business, but it’s our business. Every day is a bit different depending on what order comes in next, and we just keep our heads down and do the work.
