Meghdoot Silk Mills Pvt. Ltd. is located over at Plot No. 302/1, right in the middle of Phase-2 in Vatva GIDC. Being right next to other units means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around. We work with silk, which is a bit different from the heavier stuff some of our neighbors do. The machines have a specific rhythm, and you get used to that hum after a few days of working here. Our building is not anything special to look at, just a sturdy industrial unit with plenty of space for the looms. We spend a lot of time checking the threads because silk can be finicky if you are not paying attention. The guys on the floor have been with us for years, and they know the quirks of every machine we own. We do not have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. Usually, it is just the owner or one of the supervisors answering the phone and writing down orders in a big ledger. The office is small and filled with samples of different weaves we have done over the months. When the monsoon hits, the roads around Vatva get a bit tricky, but we still manage to get the trucks in and out. It is just regular people doing a regular job, trying to keep the quality decent and the deliveries on time without making a big deal out of it.
