Halewood Laboratories Pvt. Ltd.

Halewood Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. is located at Plot No. 319 in Phase-Ii, Gidc, Vatva, which is where we do all our work. We make medicine here, which means there is always a lot going on. It’s a bit different from the metal shops or the chemical plants nearby because we have to be very careful about everything. We have to wear hairnets and special shoes, which can be a bit of a chore in the heat, but it’s part of the job. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just another factory in the GIDC, but inside it’s all organized into different sections. We have machines that press tablets and others that fill up bottles. It gets quite loud when the packing line is running at full speed. We spend a lot of time on paperwork, recording every batch and checking the dates. It’s not the most exciting part of the work, but it has to be done for everything to stay in order. Our break room is small, and we usually just sit and talk about local news or the cricket scores while we have our tea. We don’t have a fancy corporate culture. We’re just a bunch of people working to get the medicine out to the people who need it. Sometimes the supply chain for raw materials gets messed up, and we have to adjust our whole schedule. That’s just life in manufacturing.
