Our place, Gayatri Industries (1), is located at Plot No. I-5620 in GIDC Vatva, Phase-2. It’s just a standard industrial shed like many others in this part of town. We’ve got some old machinery that still runs better than the new stuff, as long as you know how to handle it. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust, and there’s always a pile of scrap in the corner waiting to be cleared out. We don't have a fancy logo on the wall or a big sign out front, just the plot number painted on the gate. Most of our day is spent making sure the production line doesn't stop. If a belt snaps or a motor burns out, we’re the ones getting our hands dirty to get it going again. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just do the work. The lunch breaks are usually spent sitting outside near the gate where there’s a bit of a breeze. We talk about the news or how the local cricket team is doing. It’s a simple life. The work is repetitive, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in this same spot for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change, but our little operation stays pretty much the same. We just keep the wheels turning as best as we can.
