Shree Shyam Industries

We run Shree Shyam Industries from Plot No. C-2/4 in Phase-1 of the GIDC in Vatva. This is a very old industrial area and our shed has been here for a long time. We do general fabrication and manufacturing. The place is basically one big room with high ceilings and a lot of heavy equipment. No air conditioning exists here, just some big windows that stay open all day. It gets quite dusty because of all the traffic on the road outside. Most of our work comes from the bigger factories in the Vatva area. They send us parts that need finishing or assembly. We are a small operation, just me and about five other guys. Everyone has worked together for a long time and knows what they are supposed to do. A website or sales people are not things we use. Usually, people just hear about us from someone else and show up at the gate. We spend most of the day in our overalls, getting our hands dirty. It is not a glamorous job, but it pays the bills. Sometimes we have to work late into the night to finish an order, but we don't mind much. Focusing on the machines and the metal is what we do. The tea stall at the corner is where we spend our breaks. It is a simple way of doing business in a busy city.
