Mukesh Udyog

Mukesh Udyog is our little spot at Plot No. 3427 in Phase-4 of GIDC, Vatva. It’s one of those places that’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for the number on the gate. We’ve been working out of this plot for quite some time. The area around Phase-4 has grown a lot, but our routine stays pretty much the same. We arrive, open up the big sliding doors to let some air in, and get to work. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the day, we are usually covered in some kind of dust or grease. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate values posted on the walls. We just have a list of orders that need to be finished. The water cooler is the most popular spot in the building, especially during the summer months when Vatva turns into an oven. We share the space with a lot of heavy equipment, so you have to watch where you step. It’s a practical environment. We don't spend money on expensive furniture; we’d rather keep the machines running well. Sometimes the neighbors come over to borrow a wrench or just to complain about the road repairs. It’s a tight-knit community of workers here. We just keep our heads down and focus on what’s in front of us at Plot No. 3427.
