Mahalaxmi Utensil Pvt. Ltd. occupies Plot No. 3104 & 3105 over in Phase-4 of GIDC, Vatva. Having two plots gives us a bit more room to move around, which is lucky because utensils take up a lot of space. The metal gets hot during the summer months, and the whole building feels like an oven sometimes. We have fans going, but they mostly just move the warm air around. People come and go all day, mostly delivery drivers or guys picking up orders. The address at Plot No. 3104 & 3105 is easy to find if you know where the main road in Phase-4 is. Vatva is a huge place, so it is easy to get lost if you are new here. We have a desk near the front where the paperwork gets sorted out, though it is usually covered in receipts and coffee rings. The workers are mostly local guys who have been with us for a long time. They know how to handle the presses and the polishing machines without needing to be told every five minutes. It’s a loud environment, but we manage to talk over the noise. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making the place look pretty. It’s a factory first and foremost. We just focus on getting the daily quota finished so we can all go home. Most days are pretty much the same, just a lot of metal clanking and stacking crates.
