If you ever find yourself wandering around Phase-4 of the GIDC in Vatva, you’ll eventually run into us at Plot No. 3419. Aero Engineers isn’t a huge place, just a solid workshop where we do a lot of our mechanical work. The GIDC area is always packed with people and vehicles, so finding a parking spot near our gate can be a bit of a nightmare some mornings. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of lathes and drills. We’ve got a small crew, and everyone knows their way around the tools. It’s one of those places where you learn by doing. We don’t really have much of a formal hierarchy; the person who’s been here the longest usually just shows the newer guys the ropes. We handle a variety of engineering tasks, mostly small to medium parts. The shop floor is always covered in metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the way it goes when you’re cutting steel all day. We have a tiny office tucked in the corner where we keep the paperwork, but nobody really likes sitting in there for long. We’d rather be out where the work is happening. The tea stall down the road is where we usually end up for our breaks. It’s a simple life, focused on getting the measurements right and finishing the batches on time for our customers.
