Aashvi Steel (C/O. Kalpeshbhai V Patel)

Aashvi Steel is located at Plot No. D2-502 & 503 in Phase-4 of GIDC, Vatva. This place is looked after by Kalpeshbhai V Patel and the rest of our small team. We deal with steel, so there is a lot of heavy metal sitting around the plots. It isn't the cleanest job, as the steel can be dusty or have a bit of rust depending on how long it’s been sitting. We use the two plots to keep things organized, separating different types of rods and sheets so we can find them when someone asks. The Phase-4 area has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over the years. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; we mostly stay out where the action is. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes the metal too hot to touch without thick gloves. We just take a break under the shade of the roof and drink some water until it cools down a bit. Our way of working is pretty relaxed, but we make sure the weights are right and the counts are correct. There is a lot of paperwork with steel, but we handle it manually in our ledger. It’s just how we’ve always done it. We know most of the neighbors and the truck drivers who pass through these gates. It’s a decent life working here in the industrial estate.
