Shri Vinodkumar M. Chechani

Vatva is a busy place and we have been here at the GIDC for quite a long time now. Plot numbers 1508, 1509, and 1514 are where we handle all the daily work. It is a big space because we needed more room as things started to grow over the years. My name is Vinodkumar and you will usually find me walking around the shop floor making sure the machines are actually running right. We do not do much fancy advertising or have a big team of sales people. Most of the people who deal with us just find us through word of mouth around Phase-3. It gets pretty dusty and loud inside the shed but that is just how it is with this kind of work. Sometimes the big trucks get backed up on the narrow road outside which is a real headache for everyone in the morning. We just keep our heads down and try to get the orders out on time. The team is small and mostly consists of local guys who have been with me for a decade. We usually eat our lunch together near the back gate when the sun is not too hot. It is a very straightforward operation here. We do not have a corporate board or anything like that. If there is a problem with something you just talk to me directly. That is how we keep things moving in the industrial estate.
