Shreeji Ice Factory

We run Shreeji Ice Factory at Plot No. 1115 in Phase-3, GIDC, Vatva. It’s a bit of a different environment compared to the other factories around here because it stays quite cold inside. You can see the steam rising when we open the chambers, and there’s always water on the floor from the melting ice blocks. We spend a lot of time monitoring the freezing process to make sure everything is solid before we load it onto the transport vehicles. The machinery is heavy and needs regular oiling and checks to keep the temperature where it needs to be. It gets really busy during the summer months when everyone is asking for extra supply. During those times, we are often working late into the night. The crew here is used to the damp conditions and the heavy lifting of the ice slabs. We don't have much time for sitting around. When the trucks pull up, we have to move fast so the product doesn't waste away in the heat outside. The Phase-3 location is good for us because it’s easy for the delivery drivers to find. We don’t bother with big advertisements or fancy brochures. People know we are here and what we do. It’s a straightforward business of making ice and getting it out the door. We just show up and keep the compressors running.
