Working at Sunrise Pigments Pvt. Ltd. means you get used to seeing a lot of colors everywhere. We are over at Plot No. A-1/477 in the Vatva GIDC. It’s the Phase-2 area, which is pretty industrial. If you walk into our place, you might see some dust on the floors, but that's just the nature of what we do. We make pigments, so there is always a bit of color on people’s overalls. It’s a messy job sometimes, but we’ve been doing it a long time. The building is just a standard shed structure like most others in this part of Ahmedabad. We don't have fancy air conditioning in the main work area, just big fans that move the air around. It gets hot, especially in the summer months. We usually have tea together in the mornings before the main shift starts. It’s a small team, mostly local guys who have been in this trade for years. We don't talk about synergy or any of those corporate words. We just talk about the next batch and if the mixing is right. Sometimes the machinery breaks down, and we spend half the day fixing it ourselves. It's just honest work. We don't go out looking for awards. We just want to make sure the pigment is the right shade and that the bags are packed properly. It’s a simple life at the plot, keeping things running and making sure the orders are ready.
