Prakash Fabricators

Prakash Fabricators is tucked away at Plot No. I-5635 in the Phase-2 section of GIDC, Vatva. It is easy to miss if you aren't looking for the sign, but you can usually hear us before you see us. The sound of metal hitting metal is pretty constant throughout the day. We do a lot of welding and cutting here. There are sparks flying in the corners and the smell of hot steel is everywhere. It is a tough environment, but it's what we know. The workshop floor is always covered in scrap pieces and metal shavings. We try to keep it organized, but by midday, everything is usually scattered around again. Our team is small, mostly local men who live nearby and walk or cycle to work. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer phones with a script. Usually, someone just wipes their hands on a rag and picks up the line if they hear it ringing over the noise of the grinders. Working at Plot No. I-5635 means dealing with the heat and the soot every single day. We take a long break when the afternoon sun is at its worst. Usually, we just sit in the shade and wait for it to cool down a bit so we can finish the fabrication work. It's just a regular shop doing what needs to be done.
