Kothari Industries

Down here in GIDC Vatva, things are always moving. Our place is at Plot No. 283 in Phase-2. If you’ve spent any time in Vatva, you know the smell of the industrial area and the sound of machines everywhere. It’s not a quiet place, but it feels like work is getting done. Kothari Industries has been on this plot for a good stretch of time. The building has seen a lot of seasons. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get backed up with trailers, but that’s just life in a GIDC estate. We don't have a big reception area or shiny glass walls. It’s mostly just the workshop floor and a small space for the office staff to sit and keep track of things. We usually have tea together in the afternoons when there's a break. The staff here are mostly local guys who’ve been in the trade for a long time. They know how to handle the machines and they don't need much instruction. We don’t do a lot of meetings or big presentations. If there’s a problem, we just walk over to the person and talk about it. It’s a practical way to run things. We’re just one of many units in this part of Ahmedabad, trying to keep our corner of the estate running smooth. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat, but we’re used to it.
