Our facility spans Plot No. 360 and 361 in Phase-2 of the GIDC in Vatva. It’s a pretty standard industrial setup. We have two plots side by side, which helps with moving things around without having to go out onto the main road. Vatva is a busy place, especially during shift changes when the roads are packed with cycles and buses. Inside our gates, there’s always a specific scent in the air because of the materials we work with. Some days it’s stronger than others. We have a lot of storage tanks and pipes running everywhere. It’s not exactly pretty, but it’s functional. We spend a lot of time monitoring the gauges and making sure the mixing is going okay. The floors are concrete and usually have some stains from the liquids we use. We’ve got a small office near the front where we keep the logs and the delivery notes. It’s mostly just us and the machines. We don't put on any acts here. If something breaks, we fix it. If a shipment is late, we wait. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. The heat in Ahmedabad can be brutal in May, so we try to get the heavy work done as early as possible. We’re just a regular bunch of people trying to keep the production line steady throughout the year.
