Shanu (India)

If you find yourself driving through Phase-1 of GIDC in Vatva, you’ll eventually pass by our place at Plot No. 7/1/A. That’s where Shanu (India) is located. It’s a busy part of the industrial estate, and we’ve been operating from this same spot for a good while. We aren't a massive corporation with floors of office staff. It’s mostly just us in the workshop or the storage area, making sure everything is handled right. Sometimes the dust from the nearby construction gets inside, but we keep cleaning it up and getting on with the day. People ask what we do, and we usually just say we handle the work as it comes in. It’s a practical business. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to bring you coffee in a suit. Usually, you’ll find us wearing work clothes and checking the inventory. Our neighbors in the GIDC are mostly all doing the same thing, just working hard. We’ve had the same team for a long time, so everyone knows their job and we don't have to talk about it too much. It’s not a complicated life here. We open up early, deal with the deliveries, and try to get home before the traffic gets too bad on the main road. Sometimes the monsoon rains flood the street a bit, but we just put on our boots and keep going. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’re glad to be part of the Vatva community here in Plot 7/1/A.
