Monika Udyog

Monika Udyog is situated at 6/1 in the GIDC Phase-I area of Vatva. If you know Vatva, you know it’s the heart of the industrial zone here. It’s a place filled with smoke, noise, and lots of hard work. Our unit is one of many in the row, and we’ve been here long enough that the gate is a bit rusty and the walls have that industrial grey look. We do manufacturing work, mostly involving basic metal or chemical processes depending on the order. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the pressure gauges. The trucks start lining up early in the morning, and the dust from the road usually covers everything by noon. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for a long time. We eat our lunch together in the small shed out back when the weather is nice. There’s no big corporate hierarchy here; we all just pitch in where it's needed. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves. If a shipment is late, we stay until it's done. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We don’t bother with big slogans or fancy talk. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get it right. It is a long day every day, but we are used to it.
