M. P. Industries

Our factory is situated at Plot No. 10/2 in Phase-1 of the GIDC in Vatva. Vatva is a massive industrial area in Ahmedabad, and being in Phase-1 means we are right in the older, busier part of it. M. P. Industries has been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit. We don’t mind it though, because it’s a solid place for what we do. Inside, it’s mostly big machines and racks of metal or parts. The noise is pretty constant during the day, so we’ve all gotten used to shouting over the equipment. It gets very hot in the summer, especially with the machines running, so we keep the big doors open to get whatever breeze we can. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes, dealing with production issues and trying to stay on schedule. Sometimes a machine breaks down or a shipment is late, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We know our neighbors in the other plots and often borrow tools or help each other out when needed. That’s the kind of place this is. We just focus on the daily tasks, keep an eye on what we’re making, and try to get home at a decent hour. It's just a regular day of work in a busy industrial zone.
