Down at Plot No. C-1/11 in Phase-1, you will find Hanaka Tools. We are right in the middle of the Vatva industrial zone, which is always humming with some kind of activity. Our work revolves around making tools, and if you have ever worked in a shop, you know that means a lot of precision and a lot of patience. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of workers. We are just a group of people who know how to handle steel and cutters. Some days the machines give us a bit of trouble, and we have to spend the morning fixing a motor or realigning a guide rail. That is just part of the life here in GIDC. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet, but we keep at it because the work needs doing. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. Most of our day is spent reading measurements and checking the hardness of the metal we are using. It can get dusty, and the noise of the neighboring units often drifts in through the open windows. We try to keep things simple. When a customer asks for a specific tool, we look at the specs and we get to work. It is practical work for practical people, and we have been doing it this way for quite some time now.
