Acme Air Equipments Co. Pvt. Ltd.

Acme Air Equipments Co. Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Vatva, specifically at Plot No. 57/3, 4, and 5 in Phase-1 of the GIDC. Having three plots gives us enough room to actually move things around. We deal with air systems—blowers, compressors, and things like that. It’s heavy equipment, so we need the space for the assembly and the testing. Vatva is an old industrial area, and it has that specific smell of grease and metal that you only find in places like this. Our buildings are mostly functional. We have high ceilings so we can use the overhead cranes to lift the bigger units. The office part is just a few rooms walled off from the main shop floor so we can hear ourselves speak when the machines are running. We don't have much in the way of decoration. There are some old calendars on the wall and a lot of technical manuals on the shelves. Most of the guys here have grease on their hands by ten in the morning. That’s just part of the job. We focus on getting the air pressure and flow right for our customers. It’s a lot of math and a lot of manual labor. We’ve been in this part of GIDC for quite some time now, and we’ve seen a lot of other businesses come and go, but we just keep at it here on Plot 57.
