Patel Roadways (A Div. Of Patel Integrated Logistics Ltd)

This branch of Patel Roadways is situated on Chandlodiya Road in Ahmedabad. We are right by the Deshwali Society and near Umiya Hall, which is a big landmark around here that everyone knows. Working in logistics means we are always looking at the clock and checking watches. The heat in Ahmedabad can be quite something in the summer months, so we keep the fans going at full speed all day. The office is part of the larger Patel group, but here it feels more like a small local operation. We have trucks coming in and out at odd hours, even late at night. Most of us have been working together for years and know each other's families. We handle a lot of the heavy lifting, figuratively speaking, by managing all the paperwork for the transport. It’s a lot of checking logs and making sure the drivers have what they need before they head out on the road. The area around Umiya Hall gets very busy during wedding season, so sometimes getting to the office is a real struggle with the traffic. We just keep our heads down and do the daily work. There’s always a stack of files that needs attention. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans on the walls. It’s just a place where we make sure goods get from point A to point B. We usually share some snacks in the afternoon when things finally slow down.
