Our place is over at number 6 in the Kartike Bungalows. It is near Ratanpura Vastal in Ahmedabad. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the main city center. Working out of a bungalow feels different than a big glass building. We have desks set up in the rooms and there’s a small space where we keep the files. Most of the morning is spent checking emails and seeing what the factory needs. The traffic on the way in can be a bit of a mess sometimes, especially near the main crossroads. We usually eat lunch together and talk about things other than work. It is a bit dusty outside today, which is common for this part of Ahmedabad. We don't have a big receptionist sitting at a front desk. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it when someone knocks. It feels more like a house where we happen to run a business. We deal with various industrial things all day, but we try not to let it get too stressful. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up some reports, and you can hear the crickets outside. It is a practical setup for us. We have been here for some years and know the local tea stall guy pretty well by now. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people doing their jobs every day.
