We’ve been at 18 Old Fatehpura in Udaipur for quite a while now. Most people around here just call us Panchal Machinery, even though the full name on our papers is Panchal Machineryahmadabadmanufacturer Of Powergear. We basically focus on manufacturing power gears and things like that. It’s dusty work sometimes but we keep the machines running. We actually started out in Ahmedabad but moved our main operations over here to Rajasthan. It is just a regular shop floor with tools and metal scraps everywhere. Nothing fancy to look at from the outside at all. If you come by the Old Fatehpura area you will see our old sign. We handle the heavy stuff, mostly just sticking to what we know about gears. The neighbors are pretty used to the noise by now. Sometimes the heat in Udaipur gets a bit much in the summer months but the work doesn’t stop. We just keep ourselves busy with the orders coming in. It is a small crew of us here. We don’t spend any time on the computer or making things look pretty. Just making sure the parts are solid and ready to go out. We have seen a lot of changes in the local area over the last many years. People stop by for parts or just to check on their progress. It is a very straightforward setup. No big offices or anything like that, just the workshop and our various tools. We try to get things done right. It is what it is.
