Our little real estate office sits right across from the Aaryam Flat, not far from Pilkit School and the Ashoknagar Society. It is a local neighborhood and we like it that way. Most of the people who come to us are looking for something nearby or are neighbors themselves. We spend our days looking at property listings and talking to people about what they need. It is a lot of legwork, honestly. We are constantly out and about, showing houses or checking on some land. The office is often empty because we are in the field so much. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media team. We just rely on the fact that we have been around long enough for people to know our name. It’s a simple operation. We use old-fashioned notebooks and a computer that’s seen better days. We know the shortcuts through the back alleys of Ashoknagar and which times of day the traffic near the school is the worst. That's the kind of thing you learn when you've been in one spot for years. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help people find a place that works for them. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk shop, and other days we don't even have time for a tea break. It’s just how the property market goes.
