You can find us in Vatva Gam, right near Gandhi Chowk. We are located at Prabhu Pan Parlour, which is just opposite the Vatva Grampanchayat Office. It is a very local spot. People know the landmark more than the address sometimes. Moving houses and offices is a messy business. We deal with a lot of bubble wrap and old cartons. Our day starts early before the sun gets too high. We pack things up, load the trucks, and try to beat the traffic. Vatva is a busy place with a lot of small industries and homes. We’ve seen families move in and out of this neighborhood for years. Sometimes we help someone move just a few streets over, and other times it is much further. We don't have a corporate office with glass walls. It’s just a room with some chairs and a ledger. We talk to the customers face to face. Most of them are our neighbors or people from the nearby blocks. We try to be careful with the boxes, but it’s hard work and things are heavy. We have a small team of guys who have been doing this for a long time. They know how to fit a whole house into one truck. It’s like a puzzle every single day. We just keep our heads down and keep moving. That is how it goes at Gandhi Chowk. It is practical work and it keeps us busy from morning until night.
