P.K. Balakrishna Krud & Sons

We have been operating out of Basin Bridge Road for a long time. Our address changed from Old No. 13 to New No. 21, but we are still in the same spot we have always been. It is a very busy part of town, right near the bridge itself. The noise from the traffic is something you just get used to after working here for a few weeks. We are a family-run business, passed down through the sons over the years. Our shop is not very modern, but it is sturdy and holds everything we need to do our jobs. We handle various hardware and industrial bits, mostly. There are drawers filled with small parts and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It takes a while for new people to learn where everything is kept. We do not really use a computer for every little thing; a lot of our record keeping is still done in ledgers or just kept in our heads. People stop by because they know we likely have that one specific part they cannot find elsewhere. It is a bit cramped inside with all the stock, but we know our way around the aisles. We spend most of the day talking to regulars who have been coming to us for decades. We do not have a website or anything like that. If you need us, you just come down to Basin Bridge Road.
