Otex Drums and Containers is located out at Plot No.-3 in the Shubh Lakshmi Estate. To get here, you have to go down the Sarkhej Bavla Highway and look for the turn near Hof Furniture. We are right behind Swati Switchgear in Village Moraiya, which is part of the Sanand taluk. It’s a dusty spot, mostly because of the construction and the heavy traffic on the highway. Our yard is usually full of empty drums and containers of all different sizes. We spend the bulk of our time outside, moving the stock around and checking for any dents or leaks. It is a bit of a rough job on the hands, but we are used to it by now. The office is just a tiny room with a fan and a couple of chairs where we keep the records. We don't do anything fancy like big advertising campaigns. Mostly, people just hear about us from other businesses in the estate. The summer heat is the worst part, as the metal containers get so hot you can barely touch them without gloves. We have a small water cooler that gets a lot of use during the day. Sometimes a truck gets stuck in the mud near the entrance if it has been raining a lot. We just help each other out and keep the business moving as best as we can. It’s a plain, honest job that keeps us busy from morning till night.
