Osho Cimentos Lda, Mozambique is a bit of an interesting one because while the name mentions Africa, our base for this operation is actually in Dholka. That’s in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. It’s a dry, dusty area, which actually suits a cement-related business quite well. We spend our days out here in the heat, managing the logistics and the heavy loads. The office is pretty basic—just some desks, chairs, and a lot of ledgers. We don't have air conditioning in every room, so we rely on the ceiling fans to keep us cool during the peak of summer. The roads around Dholka are often filled with trucks carrying materials, and we are right in the middle of that bustle. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment. We aren't worried about looking fancy for anyone. Our team is small and everyone knows how to do a bit of everything, whether it’s checking the inventory or talking to the drivers. We’ve been based in this part of Gujarat for a while now. It’s a lot of hard work, often starting before the sun gets too high and finishing late in the evening. There’s a certain rhythm to the work here that we’ve all grown used to. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things moving without too many delays. It’s just how we do things here, day after day.
