OM ELECTRICS

You can find OM ELECTRICS over at 411 in the B Wing of Gopal Palace. We are near the Jhasi Ki Rani statue in Nehru Nagar. It’s a busy area, and the building itself has a lot of different offices and shops in it. Our space is mostly packed with electrical supplies like switches, wires, and fans. There isn't a lot of room to walk around because we try to keep as much stock on hand as possible. It’s a bit of a climb to get to us, but people seem to find their way. We spend a lot of time answering the phone and writing down lists of things people need for their houses or construction projects. The atmosphere is pretty casual. We usually have a radio playing in the background while we work. It’s not a polished retail store; it’s more of a place where people come when they need a specific part and they want to talk to someone who knows where it is on the shelf. We deal with a lot of dust because of all the cardboard boxes. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are no windows in the back storage area. We have been in Nehru Nagar for a good stretch now, so we know most of the regular electricians who come in. It’s a simple business. We just open up in the morning, do our work, and head home when the sun goes down. It works for us.
