Our place is Shop No. 8 inside the India Ceramic Compound. We are situated at Plot No. 105/A in the GIDC area, right across from the Bhagwati Foundry. It’s a very industrial part of town, which is exactly where an oxygen company needs to be. We handle cylinders and gas supplies all day long. It’s heavy work, moving those tanks around and making sure everything is filled and secured properly. There is always a truck idling nearby or the sound of machinery from the foundry across the street. We don’t have a fancy showroom because we don't need one. Our work is practical and essential for the other businesses around here. The compound can get a bit dusty with all the activity, but we keep our area as organized as possible. It’s a small team of us here. We know the routines of the other workshops in GIDC. Some days we are rushing to get deliveries out, and other days we are just doing maintenance on the equipment. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. We wear work clothes and get our hands dirty. That is just the way it goes when you’re dealing with industrial gases. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and know the layout of the compound like the back of our hands, which helps us stay efficient.
