We've been here at Plot No. 423-425 for a good while now. It’s right on the Telephone Exchange Lane in GIDC. Mostly we just get on with our work every day. The workshop is usually busy, and there’s always something going on with the machines or the paperwork. We started out small and just kept at it. Some of the guys have been with us since the beginning. It’s a decent spot, easy enough to find if you know the lane. Most of the time, the shutters are up early. We deal with whatever comes through the door. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular production setup. We try to keep things organized but you know how it goes in a factory. Sometimes it’s noisy, sometimes it’s quiet. We have our routine. The phone rings a lot, and we handle the orders as they come in. There’s a lot of dust sometimes from the street, but that’s just GIDC for you. We just focus on getting the jobs finished. We don’t really do much talking, mostly just doing. It’s a straightforward operation. We use the space we have as best as we can. It’s been our home for years. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit, but we’re still here doing the same thing. If you drop by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea or loading up a truck. That’s about it for us here at Urja Products.
