Shree Yogi Industries

At Shree Yogi Industries, we are located at Plot Number 107 in the GIDC area. We’re right opposite Bhagwati Foundry, which means we hear their heavy equipment running all day long. It’s a gritty part of town, but it’s where all the real work happens. Our shop is full of iron and steel parts, and there is usually a thin layer of dust on everything no matter how much we sweep. We started out with just a couple of us, and while we’ve grown a bit, it still feels like a small family shop. The heat from the nearby foundry can get pretty intense in the summer, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade of the roof. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes out to talk to them. The paperwork is kept in a metal cabinet that squeaks every time you open it. We focus on the daily tasks, like cutting metal or checking the lathes. It’s not a clean job, and we usually go home with grease under our fingernails. But there is a certain rhythm to the work here in GIDC that we’ve all grown to appreciate over the years. We just take things as they come and try to do an honest day's work. It might not look like much to an outsider, but it's what we do.
